How this list works
A book qualifies with a store-listed length from 10 up to 20 hours (real durations only, never page-count estimates) and an Open Library subject record confirming the young adult shelf: 28 books. Each is scored by its Open Library listener rating weighted by its rating count: score = (v·R + 50·C) ÷ (v + 50), where R is the book's rating, v its number of ratings, and C = 4.03★ the mean across all 2,195 published books. A page exists only while at least 15 books qualify. Children's titles, memoirs and autobiographies are excluded from these rankings; they keep their regular book pages. Abridged and synthetic-voice editions are excluded too. No editorial picks, no sponsored placement. Dataset build 2026-10-12; the list recomputes with every data refresh. Full methodology
